Fair Play

NACCL fair play policy:

You agree to support our mission of maintaining a clean and fair platform by not engaging in any dishonest, deceitful, fraudulent, or other similar conduct when playing on our platform or in our events, including the following:

  • Please do not share your Chess.com account with family members or friends. Using 'two or more brains' on one account may trigger the anti-cheating algorithm, and you will be removed from the league.
  • If your Chess.com account was shared before joining this league, please consider starting with a new account and do not share it again. We understand it may be tempting to share a gold account with others, but this is against our fair play policy.
  • Do not watch our live commentary while you are playing in the league. We aim to make the games as public and entertaining as possible and try to hide the engine bar—but please refrain from watching while you are still playing your game.
  • All of your moves must be your own. Do not cheat in any way. Do not get help from any other person, including parents, friends, coaches, or another player. Do not use chess engines, software of any kind, bots, plugins, browser extensions, or any tools that analyze positions during play. We can detect if you are using any of these programs.
  • Do not allow anyone else to use your account. Do not use anyone else's account. Do not artificially manipulate ratings, matches, or game outcomes. Do not interfere with the gameplay of other members.
  • Suspecting your opponent of using outside help is not an excuse to do the same. If you suspect someone is cheating, report the player directly to Chess.com or NACCL team.
  • We are corporate professionals, and we encourage everyone to make NACCL games a fun, friendly and social competition.

NACCL fair play scores adjustment:

  • Every week, after the three games are completed on Thursday, we submit all games to the Chess.com Fair Play team. Please read the policy above to understand what types of violations may result in account closures. If we find any fair play violations, we will remove the player and award wins (full-point byes) to that week's opponents, except lost by forfeited. This applies only to the most recent week and does not affect previous weeks.
  • We review every fair play decision very carefully, and Chess.com is always open to appeals.
